Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments, incorporating culture, age, developmental level, risk factors, and presenting complaint in accordance with RN scope of practice and applicable policies.
• Develop individualized care plans in coordination with patients, families, and the inter-professional team; implement therapies and procedures with clinical autonomy within established guidelines.
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition; conduct and document ongoing assessments and responses to procedures and therapies using the nursing process.
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities, including timely execution of discharge orders, discharge teaching, and coordination with Case Management.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and monitor accuracy and completeness of delegated patient care provided by other team members.
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, CAUTI reduction, and documentation auditing.

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) required.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all members of the care team, both verbally and in writing.
• Proficiency with or ability to be trained on relevant computer systems and clinical applications.
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety measures.

• Previous nursing experience in a progressive care, IMC, PCU, or stepdown setting.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
