Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in IMC/PCU/MS Float Pool required. License: Active nursing license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: Candidate must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms. Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment. Float between IMC and medical units is required. Description: This position requires a registered nurse with a minimum of 2 years of IMC/PCU/MS Float Pool experience. The nurse will be responsible for providing care as per the patient assignment. Ratios include 1:4 for IMC and 1:5-6 for medical-surgical/telemetry units. Candidates should be proficient in telemetry, cardiac telemetry, and ER holding. Duties include managing cardiac drips, interpreting dysrhythmias, and performing phlebotomy. The nurse will be responsible for accessing and managing ports, administering blood products, and providing care for chest tubes. The nurse will participate in the management of patients with various medical conditions. Experience in managing patients with renal failure, seizure disorders, and substance withdrawal is preferred. Nurses are expected to maintain compliance with infection control policies and perform wound care as needed. Daily responsibilities may include monitoring telemetry systems and responding to emergencies as part of rapid response teams.
