• Patient Volume: Approximately 15 patients per day
• Practice Setting: Outpatient occupational health clinic
• Additional Coverage: Occasional opportunities may be available for vacation and holiday coverage

Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner Requirements

• At least 1 year of Nurse Practitioner clinical experience
• Active Nurse Practitioner license in Pennsylvania
• Current national Nurse Practitioner certification appropriate to the provider’s specialty
• Experience in Occupational Health, Employee Health, urgent care, ambulatory care, or a similar outpatient setting preferred
• Experience evaluating work-related injuries and performing pre-placement or occupational physical examinations preferred
• DOT Medical Examiner certification and current federal registry status highly preferred
• Ability to provide thorough clinical documentation in an electronic medical record; experience with SYSTOC is helpful but not required
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and patient education skills

Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat work-related injuries and occupational health conditions
• Perform pre-placement, employment, OSHA-related, and other occupational physical examinations
• Perform DOT physical examinations when appropriately certified
• Provide employee health services in an outpatient clinic setting
• Assess patient fitness for work and provide appropriate follow-up recommendations
• Collaborate with other practitioners to support timely, coordinated patient care
• Document patient encounters, assessments, treatment plans, and follow-up recommendations accurately in the electronic medical record
• Maintain a professional, patient-centered approach while supporting the needs of employees and occupational clients
