Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS ACLS NIHSS Must-Have: Neuro PCU experience required. Previous Charge RN experience preferred. Description: This position involves working 3 twelve-hour shifts during the day. Rotating weekends required. Floating to other units may be necessary as needed. Staff will be scheduled for 6-week periods. A centralized cardiac monitoring department provides monitoring surveillance for the patients. The primary focus is caring for medical neurological patients. The patient population includes individuals with strokes, tumors, seizure disorders, traumatic brain injuries, and movement disorders. Applicants should have experience with BiPAP/CPAP management and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Candidates must also be familiar with managing cardiac drips, telemetry monitoring, and various other nursing skills relevant to neuro care. All nurses must pass an EKG compliance exam. Certain additional modules and training may be required during the orientation period. About Cynet Health
